Hello,
Backup Exec 2012 with SP2 is running on Windows Server 2008. It is in a Workgroup.
Oracle 10G is running on Windows Server 2008. It is in a Domain.
Windows Agent Utility is configured with SYS user for selected Oracle DB. And BE authendication is configured for Administrator.
In BE server side logon Account is configured with Domain\Administrator of Oracle DB Server.
In BE server oracle option in BE Setting is configured with SYS user.
We are able to take the backup of filesystem backups.
But when we initiate a Oracle DB backup we are getting --The Job failed with following Error: Backup Exec could not log on to the server with the logon account specified for it. The logon account does not have valid credentials. Ensure that the user name password are correct in the logon account
KB Article Reference # V-79-57344-39777. And Error code 0xe0009b61.
I've checked for the license also. Agent for Oracle is showing ok for both licensed and Installed collumn.

...if you put your BE server on the domain you shouldn't have any BESA authentication errors.
Any reason for not doing this?
Thanks!

Yes, We have got many different domains in our network. Is 'SYS' user should exist on windows users also? If so what are all the Privileges should be there?

...are there trusts between the domains?

No. It is like different departments using separate their own domains on the same network without any trusts.

Hi Craig,
The link helped to address the issue. Also it was required to change the credentials in backup selection for ORACLE Database and it's component (In my case i set SYS account).
Thanks !
