Backup Exec Counters

Good morning all,

I can't seem to find any useful information on BUE counters. I saw the Job Run Time and Backup Run Time counters under BEENGINE. I was assume these counters would indicate how long a job has been running and from this I could create an alert should a job be running much longer than expected (ie in limbo usually because the BEENGINE has froze up). I don't see a way to do this internal to BUE alerts. If there is a way, let me know as well. Or, if you know which counter I can use to monitor job run times, let me know as well.

I don't believe that there is such a counter.  For such a counter to work, BE would need to know how long a job must run before sending out such an alert and there is no way to specify this parameter.

You might want to post this in the Ideas section and if enough people agree with you, it might get implemented as a feature in some future release.
