Hello there,

   Refer to the following technotes to resolve the issue:

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH29539 : Event ID: 57860 "An error occurred while attempting to log in to the following server... SQL error number: "0011"" is seen when backing up a server with SQL installed.

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH22848 : Event ID 57860: "An error occurred while attempting to log into the following server..." is reported in the Event Viewer while a backup or restore job containing SQL Server data is run.

There could be some issues with connecting to SQL instance and databases too. So please perform an UDL Test referring to the following technote :

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH24708

Perform the quick test not only on the Backup Exec instance but also on the other SQL instance which you may be backing up.

The backupserver is running Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard

The server ATLANTIS is running Windows Server 2003 R2

Resolved in this KB but the backup Exec below 12.5 version. Go through it may help you for Backup exec 2010 also
