I am trying to request a firewall exception from our network security team so I can manage our BE installation in our DMZ without having to physically go to the console (which is really slow). I have read the documents on what ports to open but I'm not really understanding which port(s) I need because nothing actually lists remote administration console. I assume it is backup exec server, but when I connect to our internal BE server and run netstat I do not see a connection on that port from my computer. Does anyone know what EXACT port(s) I need to use, or can set to connect on?
Thanks.

Ok it looks like RAC uses the entire RPC range which is a lot (1024 - 65535). You can always start with the full range, view the firewall logs and start locking doen more ports.

Sorry I did not get back to this thread. Our firewall team is not going to open a large range of ports that large for us to test with, so I guess it will be on network only.
