Backup Exec SBS Edition support for remote media server?

We're looking to virtualize our MS Small Business Server which is currently running Backup Exec 12.5 for SBS and has a directly connected tape drive.  We want to move the tape drive to a separate physical server and leave Backup Exec server running on the SBS.  Is this possible/supported and what licensing would be required to support this configuration?

Sorry,.

The way that it is written, tape devices must be locally attached to the media server The only exception is if you have a library/loader that is on a SAN and purchase an SSO license (Shared Storage Option)
