Hello!

I get issue about Backup Exec Server 2012 version 14.0 rev. 1798 (64-bit), from my customer. The server have always failed to backup recently. When I open the console, at Backup and Restore it showing 6 Active Alerts with the Status : Job Failed, and with the following message :

(Hostname_server) Backup 00049-Incremental -- The job failed with the following error: Backup Exec could not log on to the server with the logon account specified for it. The logon account does not have valid credentials. Ensure that the username and password are correct in the logon account.

With error code : E0009B61

Then I open with 2x clicks on the name server and go to Credentials, to ensure the logon account whereas it correct with the Credential Status : Success. When I try to run test of the credentials, it still failed and also when I'm using another account. But the logon account is no problem. What really happened and how to solve this problem?

Beside this, the BE server is always showing Alert : Media Intervention. I go to Storage, and view status of Robotic Library is Online with Active Alerts : Media Intervention. I click the alert and see details of the following message :

Media Request
Job name : Import Library
Message : Please insert media into the portal
Respond OK to acknowledge
Respond Cancel to cancel the operation.

Then I click the Knowledge Base article to find out about this issue, and I get the solution in the following article : http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH23207

The solution on the article is : Place the tape requested into the robotic library portal and respond to the alert in Backup Exec.

But, I don't know where the place of the tape and how to replace the tape into the robotic library portal?

I need help to solve this problem. Thanks for your attentions!

NOTE : The pc machine is using Windows Server 2012 Datacenter !

Best Regards,
Barkah

...not sure why nobody picked up on this, but Server 2012 isn't supported. If you're still getting this error, check the link below and sign on for the Beta:
