Backup Exec Server service not starting (v12.5)

The Backup Exec Server service will no longer start, when it attempts to start it automatically fails and the following event logs get generated;

Faulting application beserver.exe, version 12.5.2213.183, time stamp 0x4d5ab262, faulting module kernel32.dll, version 6.0.6002.19623, time stamp 0x56ec4631, exception code 0xe06d7363, fault offset 0x00000000000166cd, process id 0x%9, application start time 0x%10.

Any thoughts? I can't find anything online about this...

Have you checked to make sure that an AV isn't perhaps blocking the BE services? If so, put in an exclusion for them and check again.

I completely disabled the AV when attempting to start the BE services

If it helps, this is what I see if I try and run the beserver.exe by itself;

Hi,

 

Have you tried;

1. Repair of the BEDB using beutility.exe (non-intrusive, doesn't break the BEDB);

2. Repair of BE through Add/Remove Programs?

have a look in your windows updates.

were there updates related to .NET framework and related stuff?

revert these updates.
