Backup Exec Standard and CPS

What is the difference between Backup Exec 11d Standard edition for Windows Server and Continuous Protection Server (CPS)? Is CPS an enhancement? I am doing an upgrade and I was curious if I need to install the Standard Edition then CPS or if they are separate items.

They're completely different products. BE uses traditional backup and recovery to disk and tape. CPS uses snapshots and replication to do near-continuous data protection.CPS creates backups of files as they are
changed to save all versions of a document, etc. It is an enhancement
and not necessary for Backup Exec.
