Backup Exec admin rights

Good day,

Our auditors are looking for documentation that shows what the admin permissions are for our Backup operators and admininstrative users (We know the permissions for the Backup Exec service account). We checked the admin guide but could not find anything related to admin/user permissions. We are aware that it is based on the local server admin and backup operators groups but we are looking for documentation that shows this for our auditors. Can someone point me to the documentation that shows this please.

Backup Operators and Administrators groups/accounts are a function of Microsoft and it's best to consult those documents instead. Thanks!

We don't really have any documentation for that, however:

- Backup Exec does not have a security setup that can provide role based admin, as such the console users would normally also be domain/local admins.

- it may be possible for a user with that is a member of Backup Operators to still use the console (as this appears to have been true for older BE versions)
