Hi There!
We have a client who was running Backup Exec 2010 on a 2003 Server, with an Exchange Agent installed on a second Server (2003) and it was working fine.
We have migrated them to 2012, and it's a NIGHTMARE.
We did a clean install.
We ran a create new backup wizard, selected the media server and exchange server and it's created TWO JOBS, BOTH of which are set to overwrite!!!
First job runs, second job runs, wipes first job! This is the default wizard behaviour, how can this be? Why would it create two jobs, rather than the old method of adding the selection to the existing primary job.
Also the stupid summary that shows green or red on each day for the back, shows RED even if there WAS a successful job run the same day! Since the summary view isn't accurately indicative, then it's not useful.
Is there a way to switch back to the old JOB view, which was much more straight forward. Symantec have tried to be clever and it's an EPIC failure.

No. There is no way to switch back to the old Job Monitor view.

Well ok, but what about the behaviour of setting jobs to overwrite, and can you not add a server as a selection rather than it adding a separate job?

Unfortunately, again no. BE 2012 is server-centric and you cannot backup more than one servers with one job.
With regards to your disappearing jobs, you could be facing this known issue.
