Hello,

We are running Backup Exec 2012 on Windows Server 2008 R2. I am planning an exchange database restore test. we have a DAG (two exchange servers), I want to restore an exchange database to the original localtion (in case of database corruption) What are the steps?

Thanks!

Do you really want to do a restore TEST to the original location (so over the PRODUCTION)? Or is it just the list of steps you are after? Basically we would never suggest testing a whole IS restore to original location.

Thanks for your quick reply!

I know it is something! I have tested successfully to a recovery database. Our exchange admin would like to test to the production :) We have a database just for a few tech accounts so the failure would not be a disaster. I would think it would be scenario that if the exchange database corrupted and restore to original place is the best choice?

Thanks!
