Does your Backup exec service account is Domain user?

Do you try to use server name in the UNC Path ?

When you create disk storage on a disk that is attached to the network, you must specify the path to an existing share. You should use the server name in the UNC path rather than an IP address.

Does your Backup exec service account is Domain user?

tested Domain and local account both not works on BE V20

Do you try to use server name in the UNC Path ?

tested  \\hostname\folder or \\192.168.1.100\folder both not works on BEV20

The share folder is in Windows server or NAS?

If NAS: please see

https://vox.veritas.com/t5/Backup-Exec/Adding-network-disk-based-storage/td-p/680793

I just tried to create a disk storage using share folder from remote server and it's ok.

My version is 21

Share path: \\servername\B2D

I think you tried most of things, i think you may log a support call or enable debug log and post here.

The share folder is in Windows server or NAS?

share folder in windwos server 2012 R2

may i know how to enable debug log ?

Someone had same issue. Anything inside the share folder?

https://vox.veritas.com/t5/Backup-Exec/B2D-Folder-can-t-be-added/td-p/650211

Can you try to create a new share folder and try to create again?

i have tested in new share folder (its empty folder), but same issue

\\server\test"

I think the share name is test right?

so the UNC path should be \\server\test instead of \\server\test"

yes, i used this format \\server\test

debug log shown like this ( \\server\test\" )

I think u better to log a support call as the problem is not easy to solve over the forum as you tried many things already.

A support can remote check.

I think you have applied all latest patches of BE20 right?

looks like more database issue ?

06/25/20 20:35:08.112 PvlEntityDatabase::QueryEntity() : ERROR = 0xE0008120
