Backup Exec not picking up Sony A300c autoloader ....

I had a DD3 drive in our server before which was picked up by Backup Exec V9.0. I upgraded to V9.1 to use a new Sony A300c autloader unit. I loaded the Sony drivers and a PCI-X Adaptec card but BE only picks up the card but doesn't seem to recognise the Sony unit. I ran Tools, Wizards, Device configuration wizard but it still doesn't pick the Sony up. The Sony IS terminated okay. Any advice on how I can pick it up please? Thanks.

Try using the latest device drivers and then power cycle the device and the server.

Hi
I downloaded and tried running this update but the Install wizard doesn't complete as it keeps saying that it was interuppted before it finished. The server is next to me and no-one can access it to stop this process. Are you sure this is the correct update as it doesn;t show the TSL-A300c on the Sony list?
Any idea's please?

Hello,

Ensure that the device is recognized by the OS. If yes, check if it is listed on the HCL. Refer the following link.

If it is compatible, install VERITAS drivers. Also as mentioned in previous thread refer the following document and verify the same with your configuration.
