Backup Exec product for Small and Medium Businesses

Hi,

My client had SBS 2008 and got the Retail Version of SBS Backup Exec 12.5. He now wants to shut down the SBS 2008 and just have Windows 2008 Server on the old Server, Can we install the SBS Backup Exec 12.5 on the reconfigured serve without  the violation of licensing and just backup “C” Drive?

Hello Jay,

    Backup Exec's SBS license key will not get installed on normal non-SBS OS server. So you can speak to Symantec's License department and as for normal BE Product License key.
