Backup Exec rate is very slow on a server in another location

At head office we currently have Backup Exec 2012 installed backing up to disk. There is a server in another branch on the same network that needs backup. An agent was pushed from the BE 2012 server in Head Office. The backup data is stored on another drive on the local server in the other location so the data is not being send over the network to Head Office. The backup rate is very slow. I've attached a screenshot of the rate.

Any suggestions and justifications?

Data flows from the Remote Server to the Media Server and then to the backup device (Disk or Tape)

In our case even if the disk is local to the remote server still data will flow to the Media server and

than back to the B2D folder on the remote server.

Hi,

Make sure that Backup Exec's processes are exluded from antivirus scans.

and check for fragmentation. Fragmented drives can cause job's to run slow

Run Live Updates to verify you are fully patched
