Backup Lotus Domino server

I have Lotus Domino 6.5.3 servers that I want to start to backup the data files using BE 10.0. The question I have is: Do I need to use the Notes Agent to backup my Notes files? I DO NOT use transaction logs on my Notes servers. Since I do not use transactions logs, can I safely just use the Open Files Agent or do I need to use the Notes Agent.

Thank you for the link, but I wanted to know that if I do not have transaction logging enabled, can I safely backup the Domino server with just the OFO or do I need the Notes agent to backup open .NSF files.

Hello Larry,

We do not recommend using AOFO for databases. Especially that ones that we have an agent for.
Event if the Backup, of the Database, goes through fine, we cannot gurantee any successful restores.
