Backup MSDE 2000 on a Windows Server 2000 SP4

Hi everyone,

is it possible to backup a MSDE 2000 which is installed on a Windows Server 2000 (SP4) using the BE 2010 R3 BE Database agent? I only find SQL 2000 in the SCL not the MSDE 2000.

Should be OK as its just a free & scaled down version of SQL Server 2000

And have a look @ pg 21 of the SCL (or just search for MSDE in the SCL)

...you might have to dump the databases nightly through MSDE before backing up the flat file.
