Backup Storage Appliance

Not sure if this is the right place to post this question, I cannot find a better section in this forum.  Sorry if it's not the right place, please move it to a better appropriate place.

I am using the backup exec 2014 on Windows 2008 R2 backup server.  Currently we duplicate the backups to LTO tapes on the Quantum Super Loader 3.  Our tape appliance is EOL.  So, we are looking at the alternative, which is backup storage appliance, no more backup tape.  Would like the dedup feature.

Any recommendation on the backup storage appliance? We have 5 other servers (also Windows 2008 R2) currently backing their data to the backup server (incremental and full), then we have duplicate to tape on the weekend and the beginning of the month.

Your best bet is to look at the BE 2014 HCL and make sure you choose an appliance listed on this as being supported.

THen it becomes a cost vs. functional requirements discussion. The better the appliance in terms of size and performance, the higher the price.

Leaders here would be EMC with the Data Domain and HPE with the StoreOnce.

Thanks!
