Backup Synology NAS

Hello,

we are using Backup Exec 20.2 and want to backukp a Synology NAS which has a share. We already have enabled the function to backup shares in the global options. In Backup Exec we successfully have added the NAS as device and created a backup job. In the backup job we can select the folders inside the share we want to backup, so the access is working.

When the backup starts it stops with the error message "...Username or password incorrect...". Both are correct because we can browse the share in Backup Exec.

What can we do?

You must allow the userid used by BE read/write access to the entire volume.

Sorry for the question, I need to replace my NAS and I want a synology, would you please tell me which model do you have?
