Backup Very Slow

Hello

A customer of ours has just had BackupExec 12 - right from the word go, Backups are performing slowly (3MB/min) - this is purely a local backup, which initially was to an AutoLoader, however we have now tried troubleshooting by doing a local Backup-to-Disk, and the throughput is the same!

We've tested against Windows Backup, and the performance there is much, much higher!  (I think the customer reported 79MB/min).

The customer is fully updated through Live Update.  -- Any help would be greatly appreciated!

From the Devices Tab, right click the drive \Properties

What are the settings for

Block Size

Buffer Size
Number of Buffers

Also, make sure that both Single Block settings are DISabled

Slow performance when backing up remote servers with the TCP Offload Engine (TOE) Feature enabled on network cards and/or Windows 2003 SP2 Scalable Networking Pack (SNP) is enabled.
