Hello,
All servers I backup are in our company exept one who is in a datacentre. I want to backup these server so I installed an agent on it. I open all firewall ports and can telnet port 10000. I make a selection list and set up the external ip address in user-defined selections. I fill in the right credentials but I'm unable to get a connection to the server. I logged something on our router and see the following error:
NDMP CONNECT_CLIENT_AUTH Reply NDMP Error:Unknown NDMP error code 0x69
Maybe that is the problem. Can you help me?
Release Backup Exec 2010 sp1

There are a lot more ports than 10,000 required to be open - 10,000 is just the NDMP Control connection.
For a start you need an NDMP Data Connection Range of ports available (a range of at leats 50 recommended) as configured in Tools --> Options --> Job Defaults --> Network and Security --> "Enable Remoet Agent TCP Dynamic port range"
On a general point of security we would recommend you do this sort of connection over a VPN or a private WAN link.
You will also need reasonable bandwidth between your locations to achive what you are trying to do.
