Backup exec 12.5- backup database from Win2003 to Win2008

hi guys, how do i move or backup the configuration and database of Backup Exec 12.5 from Windows 2003 to Windows 2008?

Here is a technote explaining the process

Backup Exec is only supported to migrate or move BE to and from the same Windows OS version. The steps mentioned in the technote are successful in most cases. However this is a best effort method as the Windows OS change is supported in some cases.

I hope that you are not using Server 2008 R2 because BE 12.5 does not support this OS as a media server.  Server 2008 is o.k. See the SCL below

hi pkh, thanks for the heads up.

I had checked that list before, but to be honest  I found it unclear and confusing the way the list or give the info.

But I'm on the safe side, since i'll be using only Windows 2008 Standard and Enterprise not R2.
