Backup exec 2014 for bare metal server only

Hi,

I would like to know what is the exact name of the product that I need to buy to have backup exec 2014 backing up my phyisical machine with windows server 2012 with active directory on it and hyper-v.

the VMs with exchange and sql are beeing backuped by an other solution and this has to remain like this. I only need to know the version od Backup exec for the local backup and if needed the agents.

The exact product is BE 2014

Since you don't need to backup your VM's with BE, then you don't need to buy a Hyper-V agent.

As for AD, you may need to buy an Agent for Application and Database licence, depending on how you want to backup and restore it.  See my article below

Yes. It is called Symantec Back Exec.  We tend to call it Backup Exec for short due to its history of multiple previous owners.
