I notice that at 4 am this service stops, so everyday i need to keep restarting this service. I have a case with symantec on the cause of this.. but im trying to create a bat that can do this for me. Then atleast i can schedule a task and if i forget about this i wont have an issue with a backup not starting.

I know that i can do a NET START  but its not finding that [service] any help would be awesome.

4 a.m. is the default time for BE to do its database maintenance.  If  you want to confirm that is the cause of your problem, go to Tools --> Options --> Database Maintenance, change the time and see what happens.

Alternatively, you might want to to the BE installation directory and use BEUtility to backup the database and see whether your BE services stop.
