Backup exec and issue with child domain servers

For whatever reason I cannot do a remote agent or remote media server install to a server that resides on our child domain even though I'm using admin credentials from the child domain that are domain admin complete full rights. If I try to remote install agent or media server on a main domain server it has no problem installing. Is there some trust im missing that needs to be enabled so it talk correctly to child domain servers, etc.

The two domains must have mutual trust and the BESA (usually a domain admin of the domain which the BE media server belongs to) must have domain admin rights to the child domain.  Do not use a domain admin from the child domain as the BESA.
