Backup exec backup error - 0xe000fe30 - A communications failure has occurred.

All the VM level backup jobs are getting failed with error 0xe000fe30 - A communications failure has occurred.

An error occurred while connecting to the Backup Exec Remote Agent on the Backup Exec server. Ensure that the job options are correct, and then submit the job again. The backup set was not created.

VMs are selected in selection list through Cluster.

Backup exec remote agent service is in running state on the client servers. Resource credential test completed succcessfully. Ping attempt from the the backup server to cluster and nodes are successful. Reselected the clients in backup job, also changed the network settings, but still backup jobs are getting failed.

Have you made sure that if you're running a firewall on the servers, that the required ports for the BE agent are open? Thanks!

Backup issue resolved.

I have restarted the backup exec remote agent service on the hyper v cluster and all the nodes and then executed the backups which has completed successfully.
