Now my issue has been resolve...
My steps:-
I reinstall BE application on the server with completly new data base.
I create new policy, with media sets.
I remove all HP application and storage application like LTT.
Clean the tape with clener cartridge.
In meadia set policy please make sure your append and overright protection days. Because i was facing issue with it every tape was showing your media is over right protected. so i set my media set over right for 3 days and append to 3 weeks.
The problem which i face i dont have root cause.
That was the reason why i need to reinstall it.
If you know the root cause please share it, so in future if any one face the same issue they can justify the problem and know the root cause.

Could be anything...
1. RAWS agent not working properly on the affected server, so check that the RAWS agent service is started, and that it is publishing correctly to the media server.
2. Possible hardware failure, or hardware is in pre-failure. In your case, go to the HP site and download and install HP LTT (Library & Tape Tools). Download the version with the firmware attached. This will allow you to upgrade the firmware on the device. Once done, run HP LTT and check for any errors through the diagnostics. Stop the BE services before doing so.
3. Update BE to SP4 and install the remaining updates via LiveUpdate and try the job again.
Where exactly is this failing? On an application, or a specific server?

Mannually backup is working sometimes but Schedule is going failed..
I restart all backup services properly.. RAWS services is also working..
I changed tapes also.. and media Sets.

Link for SP4 x32:
Link for x64:
If it is x64, you need to install SP3 first which you can get from here:
http://support.veritas.com/docs/337373
I take it though, that this is Windows Server 2008, and NOT Windows Server 2008 R2 (in which case you need to upgrade to BE 2010...)?
Thanks!

Hi Jack,
What happens if you create a new selection list with the same selections, and a new backup job? Does it then run through?
Have you tried a BEDB repair using BEutility...?
thanks!

I tried backup with diffrent policy, and diffrent selection. but in schedule task it also goes failed.
Now could you please elaborate how to run BEDB repair utility.
05-09-2011 12:54 AM
Hi,
Do a search for beutility.exe.
Once done, open it up, and go to the media servers tab. In there you'll see your server name. Right-click it, choose the repair option and let it run.
Once done, try running the backup again.
Thanks!

Do you mean by Repair Data base..
I searched BEutitility and there is so many options in media server right click.

...you can try running a small backup to disk and see if you get the same error.
Also, open up the Job Log and see if it specifies exactly what the error was...
05-09-2011 04:03 AM
I have posted you the same error which i found, In job logs nothing will be new.
Chk this link many people found the error releted with this.. but no case were close..
I am facing this issue with schedules and specialy with Tuesday policy when all policies are just copy of each other.
Backup without schedule run successfully. But Why its not happening with schedule. Backup will run more then 80% but failed with unknown error.
05-09-2011 04:12 AM
OK...the schedule just contains details for a normal backup, right? No additional steps like duplicating elsewhere?
05-09-2011 04:16 AM
Yup.. i have run another schedule backup, but this time it will run on Disk...
I will let you know.. when it will done..
