Backup file server is slow

We work with a HP MSL 6000 series tape library connect via SCSI. On the server where Backup exec is installed is enough space on the disk, it has 1GB on RAM and we have installed the lateast updates from backup exec. 

We have 5 backup jobs on 1 night. 2 jobs do a backup from our file server, witch is in total 430GB in 10hours 30min. When I look on the job of for the backup of databases and exchange, it takes 2 hours for 250GB.

So I find that the backup of our file server is really slow. I've search in the knowledge base of symantec, but nothing solved the problem. My on your is, do you have any ideas what the problem could be of the slow backup from the file server?

One thing is not clear: is that 430GB backup local to the tape drive, or are you using remote agents?

What version of BE are you using? And please give any more details you can about your setup.
