Unable to perform backup. I receive the alert message "

Please insert overwritable media into the robotic library using the import command.

Overwritable media includes scratch, blank, and recyclable media. Please note that depending on the current Media Overwrite Protection setting, imported and allocated media may be overwritable as well. Consult the online help for more information on overwritable media.

Are you using a Tape Library or a Standalone Tape drive? Job is in queue coz BE is requesting an

overwritable media. Insert an overwritable media or scratch media so that the job can proceed.

Note: If the backup job is spanning over multiple taps than 2nd tape onwards BE will request for an

overwritable media.

I am using a Tape Library, but only one tape.

You mean 1 Tape drive or 1 Tape (media).

Is there any overwritable media in the library?

Can you give me a step by step procedure on how to  "Insert an overwritable media or scratch media so that the job can proceed."

Choose a tape that is physically in your library that you want to use (e.g. LTO0002)

Go into the media set for that tape.

Right click on that tape and select " associate media set".

Assign that tape to the "scratch media: media  set.

Go to the alert and respond ok
