Backup many small files slow

Hello Everyone, Our environment, Backup exec is running on Windows server 2012 R2 as backup media server, there is a drive from a NAS mounted on the backup media server by iSCSI, both server and NAS is 1Gb network speed. BE version is 20.6 Rev.1188, we need backup many small files saved on this NAS to tape LTO4 on HP library, each file size is about 100kb, backup those files performance are always very very low, about 100MB/min, need more than 1 day for about 250GB, I think the problem is not tape library or network, because other backup is good, any ideas? thank you.

Hi there,

Large quantities of small files have always been low on the performance scale due to all the directory access required. Have you tried using Incremental for the daily backup?
