Backup of Virtual Machines using the Agent for VMware (2012) or Agent for VMware Virtual Infrastructure (2010) causes beremote to crash on ntdll.dll

Can anyone tell me if there is going to be a fix for the above issue?  I found the Tech article stating that Symantec is aware of the issue but the last update was 06/08/2012/
