Backup "cancelled" - Backed up 677409 files, still recoverable?

The error I keep getting is

V-79-57344-33039 - Error - Media Mount failed.
User canceled a Physical Volume Library operation.

There is a TON of info I need to wade through on this particular error to try and eliminate it.

My question of the moment is are the 677,409 files it backed up before it had this error still recoverable?  Is this tape still useable for file recovery if I needed it?

(very new to this - have not learned yet how to do the recovery end of things, still working the kinks out of the backing up side)

generally yes, all files written to tape (up until the point of job failure)are recoverable.  Databases backups are not as simple, so very likely not recoverable.
