Backup Requirement

1. We want a Symantec Backup exec Media server.
2. We want to take the flat file backup from the USB HDD, which is attached to RHEL 7.2 physical server.
3. We want to take the flat file backup of the data stored on the SAN disk lun, which is attached to RHEL KVM virtual machines having RHEL 7.2 Operating System.

Note: With reference to point no3 - The SAN Lun will be connected to two RHEL KVM virtual machines at the same time so that both the VM’s will be able to read-write on the SAN lun.

Hi,

Yes, sure that is possible. You need to simply install the BE Linux agent on the two servers and configure the backup. The backup will typically flow over LAN to the media server. Obviously, I assume you have a BE media server already.
