Hi,
It is not recommended to backup to Backup Exec media using another media server.
As a preliminary step, make sure that you have updated Backup Exec v9.0 to Backup Exec v9.1. It addresses many issues and enhancements from an earlier versions and Build of Backup Exec v9.0. Refer the following technotes:
Title: VERITAS Backup Exec (tm) 9.1 for Windows Servers revision 4691.1 (Single .ZIP download)

Title: VERITAS Backup Exec (tm) 9.1 for Windows Servers General Information

Note: 1. BEWS 9.1 is a free downloadable upgrade inclusive of previously installed agents and options from Backup Exec 9.0 for Windows Servers agents and options.
2. Update all agents/options on all remote systems after the upgrade.
Please install Backup Exec 9.1 Service pack 2 from the following link if you have not installed it yet.

Please install the latest drivers from the following link:

You will have to install remote agent license on the Backup Exec 10.0 media server.
However, you may try one the following after the upgrade in order to backup ther remote Backup Exec server:
- Stop all the services on the Backup Exec 9.1 except for the remote agent using local system account. Try backing up the remote server.
- Uninstall Backup Exec 9.01 and then install Backup Exec 10.0 remote agent and backup the remote server.
However, we do not recommend backing up the backup exec media server in this manner.
We hope this will help.
Please update us on the issue so that If the issue still persists we can troubleshoot the issue further.
