Backup sets expired

Hi,

I have increased the append period on a tape catridge when the OP has expired. Can we do it if the storage is still available ?

I see below screen on the storage backup sets. Can we restore data from the expired backup set. is it something to worry ?

...you can try running a Catalog on the media and then restoring, but I would assume that unless it is overwritten you can still restore from it.

You can increase the AP at any time. Unless the tape is overwritten, you can always restore from it even if it had expired

Only fact that you can overwrite it by mistake ... or by another job starting 30 seconds after you just inserted it, when you want to restore from it :)
