Backup to External Harddisk

Dear all,

My working company is using Backup Exec 10d with Windows Server 2003. I would like to use the external usb harddisk as a external storage to store the backup. the external storage like http://www.buffalo-asia.com/cgi-bin/products/detail.cgi?country=hk&code=2&id=135 .

Woudl you kind to advise the Backup Exc can recognize the external harddisk and make the backup on it??

All versions since v8.6 have supported  BackupToDisk.  Just run the device configuration wizard and select new device and point it to the disk device.  Do not used a mapped drive, since when a job runs, there are no mapped drives.  Either specify by \\Server\Share or \\IP_Address\Share
