Backup too slow on SQL server

I am running Win server 2003 with sp2 and Backup Exec 11d with SQL server 2005. Back up was running fine with a backup rate averaging at 650mb/min while backing up 300 to 400 gigs of data. This has recently dropped to 32mb/min for the same amount of data. Has anyone else encountered this problem and if so what was done to fix this problem?

Any service applied to the OS or SQL about the time that the slowdown started?

Any network changes, new switch, new firmware?

If you backup flat files from the SQL boxes, what kind of throughput do you get?

Sorry about the late reply. I found out what the problem was. Symantec Endpoint Protection was the issue. I uninstalled Endpoint and Backup Exec ran ok. It seems I am going to have to configure Endpoint after reinstalling so that is doesn't scan every file that Backup Exec is trying to backup.
