quick question: I have a client who wants to use BackupExec 12.5 to back up Oracle on Solaris. Now, I know there is a agent for Windows and Linux and reading through the documentation, it seems that the oracle piece runs on media server while the data is picked up via the file system agent for Linux/UNIX.
Can BackupExec 12.5 be used to back oracle databases on Solaris up using RMAN or do I have to go to NetBackup to do this?
Any suggestions are highly appreciated....
