BackupExec 20 Auto Rollback to 16

I Was a strange auto rollback to BackupExec 16
3 days ago i update od drive D bexec from 16 to 20
Today I restarart server and I was a BackupExec 16 ! (all files have a old date), but all otgers files in drive D loks fine.

In my drive D i find log to check version and:
D:\Program Files\Veritas\Backup Exec\Logs\adamm.log

I never heard or seen a rollback like you are describing.
The only time Backup Exec is rolling back is if an upgrade was not successful.
As info - once an upgrade was successful there is no possibility to roll back to the previous version with Backup Exec.
Have you rebooted the server after the upgrade (3 days ago); if not and this is the first reboot after the upgrade, then I am guessing the upgrade was never successful.

I was investigated this problem
1. Upgrade end suddenly in 09-07-2021,14:29:16 with no reboot

2. After that server Working in 20.0

3. Deduplication migration aprox 45 minutes but after 2 hours not end and server reboted
4. Deduplication storage removed, deleted all files and adding again
5. All works fine,
6. The service "postgresql 8.x" exists but not exist "Backup Exec Deduplication Multi-threaded Streaming Agent"
7. Server works fine, deduplication works, normal storage works, tested on restore
8. Server reboted several times

11. New upgrade reboted one time and ending succesfully

12. All works fine, and the service "postgresql 8.x" not exists but exist "Backup Exec Deduplication Multi-threaded Streaming Agent"

I would suggest to run another upgrade to 20 or even 21 and then check the situation.
After the upgrade, I would suggest to reboot the server and then run Veritas Update to install the latest Feature Pack for that version.
I am not sure we can ever find out what exactly happened but whatever it was, I would suggest to upgrade again. By this you should end up with a working system.
