BackupExec 2010 server supports DLO agent which running version 11d?

Currently we are running BackupExec 11d on a Windows 2003 server. We have 35-40 desktops and laptops installed with DLO agent.

I would like to know if i just upgrade the BackupExec in the server to version 2010, and all desktops and laptops remain in version 11d. Will the BackupExec 2010 able to backup these client computers which running DLO agent version 11d?

Unlikely, normally, BE is backward compatible for only 1 version.

Its recommended to upgrade you client as well as there can be different issues which might come across if the Dlo client version and media server version is not same

If you are upgrading to 2010 then you have to purchase the license or need to upgrade the DLO license for BE 2010 as old license will not work. I don't see any reason why not to upgrade all the DLO to 2010.

It is plain and simple and all can be upgraded
