BackupExec Remote Agent. Member Server moved into new Domain

Hi

We have a Backup Exec 2010 R3 SP2 Server in DOMAINA that used to backup a Member Server containing SQL that was also in DOMAINA.

The backup exec remote Agent is installed on this member Server.

The member Server has been moved in to a new domain but Backups have been failing. The remote agent services are started.

IF I look at the backup exec job for this remote server and try to test the resource credentials I get an "a communictations failure has occured"

The firewall is off on the remote Server.

Can anyone help ?

Thanks

Hi,

If you have a trust between the domains, this becomes easy. Add the BE Service account into the Domain Admins group on the remote domain, and then add this under the Security tab within BE itself. Then browse the server in your selection list and choose the account you added.

Thanks!
