Hello,
I am trying to use the Backupexec for Virtaul Machine backup which is currently used VCB and Vizioncore.

My objective to use only the BACKUPEXEC.

Accroding my reading I can use the backupexec and agent installed on the GUEST  VM can be back up direclty to tape.

Where I do not need to use VCB and scripting stuff?

Can some one please guide me.

Many Thanks,

VCB needs to be installed on any proxy server, or you can use Media server as proxy also. So, install it on media server, if you dont want to use any other server as proxy. On guest, you would not need any remote agent for backups. During restore, if you plan to restore individual files/folders, remote agent may be required on guest. So, don't need to install anything on guest for backups. If you are using VMware Virtual center, you may want to install RAWS there.
