Hi Team,

We have ESX server 5.5, on which three Windows servers 2008 R2 running, Can one of the Windows Server 2008R2 can be used for installation of Backupexec 2015 and connect to the tape library Dell Powervalut 2000.

Can you please suggest on this?

Thanks

Venky

Short answer: No. You will run an unsupported configuration and not have support from a Veritas perspective.

Best bet is to load Backup Exec on a physical server and then run a supported configuration.

Thanks!

This would only be supported if your TL2000 tape library was using an iSCSI interface, not FC or SAS or SCSI.
