Hi, I have been getting some smaller issues regarding my tapes are having problems with the host interfaces.
Warning- The tape drive has a problem with the host interface
I looked into our event viewer and saw some other errors
Windows cannot load the extensible counter DLL Backup Exec. The first four bytes (DWORD9 of the data section contains the Windows error code.
and
An error occurred while processing a B2D command. Changer: MoveMedium() Mounting Non-Setupproperties Changer (E:\BEData\). Error=1,17,18,19,20

Check for Tape driver if its Windows server 2012 driver should be UMD and not KMD.
Also check the ADAMM log for error and paste it here for us to review.
Also check event ID for error - https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.TECH199400
Also try see if you can power cycle the RTL and server .

Exactly what hardware are you using? You second error implies something wrong with B2D, which is not tape.
Is the BE server physical or virtual?

Hi,
Thank you for taking time to look at my issue.
I was unable to see if the Tape driver is using UMD or KMD. Noone of those appeared in the driver details.
I have uploaded the latest ADAMM log for you. Please view it here, https://pastebin.com/wzSHLRmv

The BE server is running on a physical HP.
I am taking backup to both tapes and disks.
Thanks for taking your time to help me solving my issue

Kasper,
From your adamm log what i see is your using UMD ( user mode driver ) there are lot of hard and soft read errors. you may need to look into it first try cleaning the tape drive.
Look for any event ID and follow the below technote

What HBA are you using for your tape devices?
The driver name of "HpCISSs3" in the adamm.log makes me suspect that you are using a RAID controller, which is often not supported for tape.
