Backupexec2010 and exchange 2010

Hello,

Is it advisable to install backupexec 2010 and Exchange 2010 on the same server.
I search the Symantec site for documentation how to install both components.

Sure it is supported, but it depends how big your (exchange) organisation is if it is wise to do.

Hi Clegar,

This is supported, however, it would be wiser to install BE 2010 and Exchange 2010 on two different servers. for eg.   if this server which runs both Backup Exec and exchange crashes then you have to first recover Backup Exec 2010 in order to restore exchange 2010 from the backups.

It is advisable to have these two running on 2 different servers.
