please check whether the device is "tested" in the list below, if yes then please install latest veritas drivers from the link below:
HCL for Robotic library:

If not tested then please install latest manufacturers and then verify the result.

Disable removable storage (RSM) service. In most of the cases, it has been seen that VERITAS device driver does not work properly with RSM.

Thanks for responding. I believe this may have fixed this issue but I will need to reboot (this evening) and test. Veritas driver loaded successfully after disable removable storeage service. Thanks

After installing the veritas driver and rebooting the server upon reboot the veritas driver will no load taking the tape drive to Offline status. I was able to disable the removable storage service and install the driver but it will not load. Any Suggestions?

This all began to unravel afterWindows server 2003 sp1 was installed. No backups would complete. The veritas driver would not load. I uninstalled veritas and reinstalled using the windows driver and progressively have been experiencing BEX failures. Thanks in advance.
