Backups are failing with the error: An unknown error occurred. Final error: System Errors.
OS: Windows 2003 service pack 2
The backup server is mapped to a Data Domain device where the backups are deviated but recently all backups are failing with the same error.
I managed to clear up some space in the Data domain device and also verified the credentials used for running the backups but the backups are failing continously. I checked the scratch media available to run the backups.
The backups run for a while and after a slight increase in the byte count, it fails with the same error.
Please let me know if there are any work arounds/fixes to this issue. Upgrading might resolve the issue but that would be the last resort.
