Level 2

Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard x64

HP StorageWorks MSL 4048 tape drive

LTO4 TDK tapes

I need to know the best way to move all the current tapes to offsite storage.

I will start all over agin with setting up new backup plans.

Please point me to articles that explain the best way to do this.

Thanks

If the tapes are present in your library, just open the magazines and remove the tapes.  After returning the magazines to the library, run an inventory/scan on the whole library and all the tapes that were removed will be marked as off-line by BE.  If the tapes are not in the library, you don't have to do anything in BE.
