When installing Backup Exec 2012, it is better to configure the Microsoft SQL Sever in a different drive than C:?

Hi,

If you want to redirect the SQL Express installation to another drive, there isn't an issue with this...if available as an option. BE doesn't care if SQL Express is installed on C:\, F:\ or G:\ for instance!

I wouldn't recommend placing the BEDB on a remote SQL server, as if that server ever gets restarted, or SQL maintenance is performed, your backup server will stop.

Thanks!

The BEDB does not take up much space.  I would suggest that you leave it on the C: drive.

Thanks.

I asked, because I was concern about the database growth affecting the environment. But if the DEDB does not take up much space, I think it will be better to leave it in C:.
