Best way to backup to 2 NAS (1 local & 1 remote)

I'm looking into getting a couple of NAS devices to store our backups.  My question is what is the best way to backup to 2 different NAS devices with one of them being in the local network (10.0.1.x) and another in a remote network (10.0.2.x) connected via a site-to-site vpn?

Yuo would have to define one or more B2D devices on each NAS box. (don't use mapped drives, user either \\IPAddr\Share or \\ServerName\Share )

 

How fast is the VPN and how much data will you be pushing over it?  Will the data  be at the same site as the remote B2D device?  If so, be aware that you will b pulling the data to the media server and then pushing it right back to the remote B2D
